Beginning in February 2022, Tara Tomlinson Photography will be offering Simplified Sessions Portrait Sessions. Eligible session types are: Maternity, Newborn*, Family, Senior, and Individual. Simplified Sessions are in Beta testing, and in April 2022, will either replace standard sessions permanently, continue to be an additional option, or will no longer be offered.

*Newborn sessions require at least 2 hours, and more detailed retouching. There is an additional fee of $500 for Newborn Sessions. A selection of newborn wraps and outfits will be brought to the session.

What is a Simplified Session?


A Simplified Session is an option for those who are more interested in digital images than in printed products. It may also be a good option for clients who are not local to the Tampa Bay Area, or who need to keep their time investment to a minimum. This is achieved through pre-ordering a digital set instead of having an in-person or live online Session Reveal (an ordering appointment during which the client views the edited images and sample products and places their order). Location selection is also simplified. You will be able to choose from several location options, depending upon the time of day of your session.


What is included and what is the cost?


Simplified Sessions are 45-60 minutes long, and you will receive 50 edited high resolution digital images delivered via an online gallery. You will also receive a link to download a mobile album app with your images to your phone. This link can be shared with family and friends who can also download it to their phones.


The cost is $1500*, with $200 due at the time of booking (non-refundable), and $1300 is due 48 hours before the session. The average spend for standard sessions is $2200-$3700, but due to the simplified process, shorter session, and smaller gallery size, the price for Simplified Sessions is lower. *Newborn sessions require at least 2 hours, and more detailed retouching. There is an additional fee of $300 for Newborn Sessions. Newborn Sessions most often take place in the Client's home.

What if I might want custom products?


No problem. If you'd like a custom Wall Art Design or Album, we can schedule a Design Consultation to take place after you've received your images. Professional prints, canvas, metal, framed prints, and custom cards are all available within your gallery shop.

What if I want a longer Session with more images?


You can upgrade your Simplified Session to a longer session (90 minutes) with a larger gallery of images (75-100), from which you will make your 50 selections, with the option to purchase additional images or the entire gallery. The upgrade fee is $500, which will go towards the purchase of additional images. Not applicable to Newborn Sessions, as they are already longer and subject to an additional fee.


FOUR EASY STEPS TO GORGEOUS CUSTOM PORTRAITS

Step 1 - Booking


Click on "book now" and complete the short form. You will receive a link to a calendar with location options, and you can simply select any available session date that works for you! Once you have selected your date, you will receive a confirmation email, session agreement (digital), and invoice for $300 of you pre-paid order (non-refundable). Your session will be considered booked once the session agreement is signed and the invoice is paid (online). The remaining balance will be due 48 hours before your session.

Step 2 - Preparing


Preparation for your session should be fun and easy. You can browse though images on the website or Instagram to get wardrobe ideas. Simplified Session clients will still have access to my Client Closet, but will need to come to Parrish to see all the options and try items on. You can request a time to do so via email.

Step 3 - Session


Simplified sessions are 45-60 minutes long. You may bring your dog to your session, but you will need to have a support person there to hang out with your pup when they aren't in the photos. You should bring one tote bag to the session so that you can place items such as phones, wallet, shoes (for beach sessions), and other personal items in it. It's also a good idea to being water and bug spray. If little ones are included in your session, you may want to bring non-messy snacks, such as cheerios.

Step 4 - Delivery


Approximately two weeks after your session, you will receive a link to your gallery. Your gallery will contain 40-50 edited images, which you will download in high resolution. You will also receive a link to download a mobile app album for your phone.

You will be able to print your images at any lab of your choosing. There is also a print shop within your gallery, which you can use to order professional prints and Wall Art.. You can also design your own greeting cards within the shop.
