Denisse + Hector
The moment I met Denisse and Hector for their Engagement Session at Emerson Point in Palmetto, Florida, I knew that they were going to be an absolute delight to work with. They are just so laid back and sweet, and their love for each other was so evident. I was also pretty thrilled to have the opportunity to photograph their wedding at The White Room in historic downtown St. Augustine, in north Florida. I'd been eyeballing The White Room on Instagram for a while, as it seemed to be the prettiest wedding venue in St. Augustine. I love the bright white, light filled room with exposed beams and big windows. They also have a rooftop available for weddings, which is absolutely stunning, as it overlooks the St. John river and Old Town. What I didn't realize was that the venue also has several rooms downstairs that are all decorated with different color schemes for the couple to use for prep and relaxing before the ceremony. The rooms are decorated so beautifully, it's really a huge bonus for anyone who books a wedding there. But the crowning glory for the White Room is its location. It is located right in the historic old town area of St. Augustine, and is right across from the water. The little brick paved streets to the side and behind the venue are beautiful, the muted pastel tones a perfect backdrop for wedding portraits. The couple didn't have bridesmaids or groomsmen, so we were able to use that extra time for more photos of them! That's never a bad thing! The ceremony decor was simple yet impactful. The florist created a beautiful circular floral display to go behind the bride and groom with light pink and yellow roses and greenery. After the ceremony. the guests went downstairs where tables were set up for dinner, while the staff at The White Room transformed the ceremony room into a reception space. This is the first time I had seem this type of use of space, and I thought it was pretty brilliant! The little alley to the side the venue made the perfect spot for the couple's sparkler send off. Congrats to Denisse & Hector on an incredible wedding and cheers to the start of a new chapter!
